Introduction

Fragonard is a name that evokes the essence of French perfumery, blending tradition with innovation. Since its establishment, Fragonard has been synonymous with exquisite fragrances and timeless elegance.

Fragonard was founded in 1926 by Eugène Fuchs in Grasse, France, the world's perfume capital. The brand was named in honor of the famous French painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), who was born in Grasse. The choice of Fragonard's name was also motivated by a desire to thank the town that welcomed him and his family, and to associate his perfumery with the refinement of the arts of the 18th century . In fact, King Louis XV's painter was none other than the son of François Fragonard, a glove-maker and perfumer from Grasse.

In 1929, Eugène Fuchs passed the business on to his son Georges and his son-in-law François Costa. The two brothers-in-law shared the work, François in Grasse and Georges abroad. In 1939, Jean-François Costa, son of François and Emilie Costa, joined the company. After years abroad, he returned to Grasse at the end of the 1950s. Today, Jean François Costa's three daughters, Anne, Agnès and Françoise, contribute to the heritage of the Fragonard perfume house.

Fragonard is renowned for its luxurious and diverse range of fragrances. Some of the standout products include:
